Graduation ChecklistThis checklist was compiled in accordance with the requirements for graduation enumerated in the Pathobiology Student Handbook and the Checklist for Materials for Presentation to the School of Medicine M.A.-Ph.D. Committee.Checklist for Materials for Presentation to the School of Medicine M.A.-Ph.D. Committee 1) Pass all Required Core courses 2) Successfully complete three (3) rotations in different laboratories. Each rotation conducted during the academic year must be at-least three months in length and be appropriately documented (see Rotation Resources) 3) Successfully complete one (1)approved elective course per year beginning with the second year of graduate studies.- Course approval as an elective course for Pathobiology students should be obtained from the Pathobiology Office before enrollment in the course 4) Complete research ethics courses I and II. Sign-up through Eric Lee upon receipt of e-mail invitation. E-mail invitations are distributed twice per year. 5) Successfully complete two translational rotations. Translational rotations should be approved by the course-director for translational rotations, Dr. Kathy Burns. 6) Successfully pass the doctoral board oral exam with no outstanding conditions. 7) Receive approval for graduation from your thesis committee. 8) Submit your CV to Pathobiology Office 9) Submit an abstract with a title page and a separate page listing the names of dissertation referees to the Pathobiology Office 10) Submit a letter of approval from two dissertation readers to the Pathobiology office. A sample letter with suggested formatting can be obtained from the Pathobiology office and can also be found here. 11) Obtain graduation worksheets from Tracie in the Pathobiology office; these worksheets must be completed and returned to the Pathobiology office. 12) Electronically submit your thesis to the Johns Hopkins ETD web portal, found through your JHED account. (See ETD program guide here). Forward the letter of successful submission to the Pathobiology office. 13) Complete the survey of earned doctorates located at https:\\sed.norc.org\survey |
